“Universal Declaration of Human Rights”

International Human Rights Day, December 10

Human rights are “commonly understood as inalienable fundamental rights to which a person is inherently entitled simply because she or he is a human being.” Human rights are thus conceived as universal (applicable everywhere) and egalitarian (the same for everyone). These rights may exist as natural rights or as legal rights, in local, regional, national, and international law. The doctrine of human rights in international practice, within international law, global and regional institutions, in the policies of states and in the activities of non-governmental organizations, has been a cornerstone of public policy around the world. The idea of human rights states, “if the public discourse of peacetime global society can be said to have a common moral language, it is that of human rights.” Despite this, the strong claims made by the doctrine of human rights continue to provoke considerable skepticism and debates about the content, nature and justifications of human rights to this day. Indeed, the question of what is meant by a “right” is itself controversial and the subject of continued philosophical debate. Read the rest of this entry »

“Get Involved, Be the Difference”

Everyone has their own reasons for giving back. For me, it’s simply about making the world a more fair, equitable and little better place than what I found. I know I have been blessed to grow up where I did, when I did. I believe everyone deserves the chance to live a healthy, productive life. Those are the values I learned from my family, and they’re why I started UDiON Foundation. Read the rest of this entry »

Human rights through child protection laws, compulsory education, anti-discrimination!

Is Education is the Cure for Poverty?

YES, Education paves way out of poverty. BREAKING THE CYCLE of poverty isn’t easy, but it’s possible. We can all agree it’s a problem — for those who experience it and for those who try to help others climb out or simply survive it.

But it doesn’t have to be permanent. Read the rest of this entry »

What is Hunger and Poverty!

What is Poverty? (Keywords )
Poverty is an acid that drips on pride until all pride is worn away. Poverty is a chisel that chips on honor until honor is worn away. Some of you say that you would do something in my situation, and maybe you would, for the first week or the first month, but for year after year after year?

Poverty is about not having enough money to meet basic needs including food, clothing and shelter. However, poverty is more, much more than just not having enough money. Read the rest of this entry »

We can’t do Everything, but Everyone can do Something!

My personal vision for my life is that I want to become a writer whose words become weapons to battle with violence and discrimination against improvised children’s, women and young girls.  My voice is important for the voiceless who endure the trauma with agonizing silence; my voice is alive and is full of life; my voice is ambitious for it aims to bring positive changes; my voice is rebellious and does not obey any rule, any constraint; and my voice is powerful enough for change and success.
